Match Summary:-
Eastbourne Borough maintained their excellent start to the season with a fine 3-0 home win over Weston-Super-Mare. The game was marked by Victor Dolista and Duncan McArthur scoring their first competitive goals for the club but Matt Crabb received an injury that required him to be stretchered off.

Boro were out of the blocks quickly and after a slick passing move Ramsay squared the ball in the penalty area and the big Czech No10 made no mistake from the edge of the 6 yard box. The next 15 minutes saw both sides struggling to establish a pattern of play. The Sports continued to play attractive football but the final pass was often missing whilst Weston seemed content to knock the ball long. The visitors managed their first shot of the game on 22 minutes when an excellent turn on the edge of the area was saved comfortably by Hook and a goal line clearance by Neil Jenkins on 39 minutes prevented Rose from levelling the scores. The rest of the half produced several half chances for Boro with Crabb delivering several excellent crosses.

The second half almost produced an early goal for MOM Scott Ramsay. The Weston keeper attempted to see the ball out for a goal kick but Ramsay reached it and shot from the bye line but the ball flashed across the line. Matt Crabb was replaced injured on 60 minutes and the last half-hour was continuous Boro pressure. The lead was extended on 65 minutes when Dolista combined with McArthur wide left and supplied a beautiful cross for Ramsay to head home. The game was taken well beyond the visitors when a half cleared corner arrived with McArthur wide on the left. He struck a fantastic shot through the crowded penalty area into the far corner leaving no player a chance to clear, 3-0. With 3 clear goals Boro continued to press and Pat Harding had several opportunities to open his account for the club but last ditch defending and good saves from the keeper denied him his goal.
