Match Summary:-
Boro returned to winning ways with a well deserved win over Sutton United. Victor Dolista made his first start for the club with Allan Tait out through injury.

Sutton almost made a dream start. Lee Hook was called upon to make an excellent save across to his left as early as the 1st minute, Hooky eventually seeing the ball out for a corner. This appeared to wake the home side up and the next 15 minutes saw some excellent Boro pressure on the Sutton goal. Scott Ramsay had 2 opportunities to score but his header was off target and a shot was well saved by Wilson in the away goal. Boro did not have it all their own way however, and Sutton had opportunities to score themselves. This was most apparent with the ball dropping into The Sports 6 yard box from a corner, but Sutton could only shoot wide. Boro eventually took the lead through the hard working Matt Smart on the stroke of half time. Matt Crabb shot from inside the penalty area but the save forced him wide. He pulled the ball back to Smart who rolled the ball into the opposite right hand corer of the net with the keeper stranded

Victor Dolista was substituted at half-time after picking up a knock in the 1st half, Pat Harding his replacement. The 2nd half saw The Sports dominate the away side with Jay Lovett and Matt Crabb providing the outlet for the excellent work by Matt Smart and the MOM Paul Armstrong. Pat Harding had several opportunities to get himself on the score sheet but strong defensive work either closed him down or forced him to shoot wide. The win was sealed in the 73rd minute. Matt Crabb supplied a left wing cross to find Paul Armstrong un-marked in the penalty area. The Boro captain followed the flight of the ball and finished with a simple strike that left the keeper no chance away to his right.
