in memory of langney sports football club

On the 26th of May 2001 Langney Sports Football Club officially changed it’s name to Eastbourne Borough Football Club, and the brief history of the club bearing these names will have led you here. This section of the Eastbourne Borough FC web site is dedicated to the history and memory of Langney Sports FC and it is hoped will provide information to opposition fans and casual visitors of the club that became Eastbourne Borough, but also provide long standing supporters with some memories of the people and development of the club they support. There are obviously several leading figures throughout the history of the club but there are also undeniably many individuals who have played their part as committee members, volunteers and players, who have all contributed to the current position of Eastbourne Borough Football Club, and it is also hoped that they will enjoy this look back on the past. The sharp eyed (or long standing supporters of the club) will spot many a familiar face in the team groups or players sections that can still be seen at Priory Lane as officers, volunteers or simply fellow supporters on the terrace or in the stand.

Many thanks to David Bauckham who originally set up the Langney Sports site and whose words and images are used extensively throughout this section of the site. It is hoped that further additions of photographs etc will be made in the future as they become available.
